Summary: Published on 18th December 2025, this MHRA announcement launches a Call for Evidence to inform the work of the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare. The MHRA is seeking views on how AI technologies used in the NHS and wider healthcare should be regulated to ensure they are safe, risk-proportionate and trusted, while still enabling innovation and faster access to beneficial tools. Responses are welcomed from everyone — including those without technical expertise — and will support recommendations the Commission will provide to MHRA in 2026.
