Carl Lummis-Blaxell

Events, Marketing, Publications and Learning Manager

I joined RQA in 2014 to be part of the Learning and Development side of the organisation – to create more eLearning and look at working with our tutors to improve our face-to-face offerings.  I was fortunate enough to be given licence to work on some ideas and in a flash it’s now 2023 and I’m extremely lucky to manage the creative side of RQA – eLearning, publications, marketing, conferences and social media.  That side of the organisation is still growing and my team is fantastic at coming up with new ways of moving the association forward – every day is different and I’m so lucky to work in an environment where new ideas and creativity is the first thought rather than sticking to what we have done in the past.

I have three children (two boys, one girl), so spend most of my free time with them.  Luckily my boys have fallen in love with playing and watching football – we’ve got season tickets at Ipswich Town and they both play on a Saturday morning. We also enjoy going to the cinema and theme parks (when a break in the football season allows!).  I’ve always been into music and am a proud Oasis obsessive.
