EMA publishes October 2026 pharmacovigilance committee highlights

Summary: The Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) met from 28th September to 1st October 2026 to assess ongoing medicine safety matters. Its work included nine safety signals, 85 periodic safety update report assessments, 49 risk management plans and 16 post-authorisation safety studies. No new referral procedures were initiated or concluded during the meeting. The outcomes reflect the EMA's continuing work to monitor medicine safety and maintain appropriate risk management throughout the product lifecycle.
