Summary: The EMA has published a roadmap identifying ten priorities intended to improve the development and evaluation of medicines for women. The initiative highlights the need to address gaps in research and strengthen consideration of women's health throughout the medicines lifecycle. For clinical research and quality assurance professionals, the roadmap draws attention to the importance of representative evidence and appropriate consideration of patient populations when designing and evaluating clinical studies.
