More informationOur Conference Programme Committee plays a central role in shaping the content and overall direction of our annual conference. Working collaboratively, the committee helps to identify timely themes, invite and review abstract submissions, and build a balanced programme that reflects the needs and interests of the community. This includes considering a range of session formats (such as presentations, panels, workshops and discussions), ensuring diverse perspectives are represented, and supporting the development of a programme that is both engaging and practically valuable for delegates. The Programme Committee also help to maintain the quality and relevance of sessions, ensuring the conference remains forward-looking, inclusive, and aligned with the organisation’s purpose.
The Research Quality Association Conference Programme Committee currently has a vacancy and we are inviting expressions of interest from members who would like to play an active role in shaping a future RQA conference.
This committee is responsible for designing an engaging, relevant and forward-looking conference programme that reflects the breadth of the research quality community. Our focus is on creating an event that genuinely supports the sharing of ideas, insights and practical experience across the sector, for QA professionals and for anyone with a broader interest in quality.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who:
You do not need prior conference-planning experience. What matters most is curiosity, a collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to help shape an inspiring event for the RQA community.
In the 6 month run up to the conference Conference Programme Committee members need to commit to a call (approx 1 hour) per week and fortnightly at other times. There will also be work on reviewing abstracts, liaising with the RQA office and more outside of these calls.
f you are interested in contributing to the design of a conference that challenges thinking, supports professional development and reflects the diversity of perspectives within research quality, we would be delighted to hear from you.
